Ibis Belfast City Centre enjoys a fantastic location right in the city centre, within a short walk of Donegall Square and key attractions like the Christmas Market. The modern rooms are comfortable, offering amenities such as tea and coffee making facilities. While the surrounding area might appear a bit derelict to some, the hotel provides good value, with many appreciating the buffet breakfast that sets them up for the day; plus, a bar serving food until late is available, which is a bonus as many establishments in Ireland stop serving early. The hotel is surrounded by excellent car parking facilities.

Convenient and Clean

easy accesscity centerprofessional staffplastic pod
The location allowed easy access to the city center. The room was clean and elegantly decorated with sufficient lighting. Staff members were professional and courteous (Andrew was always helpful).
The bathroom was a small, plastic, pod-type structure. It seemed like being in a caravan. I found this setup less appealing.

Adequate Stay with Service Hiccups

tasty pizzadirty tablesreluctant staff
The pizza offered was quite tasty.
The service in the bar area left a lot to be desired. The tables were dirty with plates everywhere and staff seemed reluctant to clean them. I had to ask for my table to be cleaned and even then, the server cleaned other tables first, completely ignoring mine. There was also no cutlery provided with the meal.

Acceptable Stay with Notable Issues

good locationinconvenient optionsinexperienced staff
The hotel offered a good location within the city.
The lack of evening meal options due to a tour group was inconvenient. I also found the room cold. The heating system was difficult to regulate. The staff looked inexperienced in preparing drinks at the bar. I received ice and a pint glass for a bottle of larger when I requested a glass.
